Since the latest update the app is not working. Hopefully they fix it soon with another update because I normally like this app!

This was a fantastic app, but I hate the new update which always freezes the screen

Looks nicer but some words will not appear. I tried looking up 4 or 5 French words to English and nothing shows up. What happened???

After I updated the app it doesnt work! It keeps telling me that the app requires Internet connectivity even though I am connected to the Internet!

The application mistakenly and repeatably says that it needs to be connected to the internet to work. My iPad IS connected as all other apps can testify. This most recent update has a bug rendering it unusable. I have used it for months without any problem, but now I have had to revert to the web access via a browser.

It worked perfectly fine before I got the update, but now every time I type a letter, a message pops up saying I need internet connection for the app to work, even though I have 2 working connections. Super annoying and upsetting. Please fix soon, I love and need this app!!

While this is my favourite dictionary site/app, after the new update where the layout changed slightly, its been saying that the app needs wifi to work, even though Im already connected to the wifi. It still works, but every time I type a single letter, an annoying message comes up saying "The Wordreference app needs Wifi to function" or something like that. Can this be fixed please?

As I type in the letters of a word it stops between each letter to tell me that I need Internet connection which I have. But I have to cancel the message between each letter typed until I get to the translation. Terrible. Hope they fix this glitch soon.

It doesnt work at all after the most recent update :( Make it work!!!!

I cant even open this app right now. I click on it and it starts to open, then just goes back to my home screen. Bummer.

Updated to the version that claims the internet required big is fixed. It is not. The previous version worked for me (except for refusing to show anything for many words) but with this version I cant even do anything except retry the Internet connection, an exercise in futility. UPDATE - app seems to work after I hit cancel on the Internet Required message.

Update: In 5.0.1, the app complains that I need Internet connectivity, which I have. It is currently unusable. Pros: One of the best translation apps available. When it works, it really works. Cons: I wish the app would open on my favourites, which would save me a screen change each time I open it. It crashes occasionally. The interface isnt very nice. It doesnt save the verb tenses I have collapsed and uncollapsed (I dont want to see the passé simple tense, but I *do* want to see the passé composé). Finally, I will often enter a verb to be looked up and press Search, and get nothing.

I didnt have any bugs in this app until updating it, and now it is essentially unusable. Dont let automatic updating take away your functionality!

I have constantly the message that Im not connected to Internet!!! How come we cant anymore input an expression or a two-word verb? Very very bad update!

I removed one star with this new version, because we now need two steps to get to our favorite dictionnary instead of zero. Annoying...

Overall, its a great app. Very useful for French and Spanish classes in school.

The update looks great but Im receiving pop-ups after every letter I type saying that Im not connected to the Internet. Its infuriating and unless fixed, I will stop using the Word Reference app.

This new version of WordReference isnt especially horrible - however, I feel that the old layout was better. This version feels more clunky to navigate and it does not automatically go to the last language of translation Ive used (i.e. French to English, German to English, etc.), something the last version also had. This made it easier (or quicker) to search words up as you most likely will be searching up translations from the same language most of the time. I appreciate your considerations.
